Come December with love and a little malice. December is regarded the month of romance and love. The chill turns into a fire when the love attains its climax. The rain and snow become a catalyst to warm and join the broken hearts. Lovers admire this month for rekindling their lost dreams. December is the month of Christmas, the month of the birth of a great prophet JESUS. This prophet of peace loved his enemies and comforted them all. Jesus always stood with poor and disenfranchised, fed and healed them, preached against the power bases of society and government and refused to draw weapons against the Roman soldiers when they came to arrest him. He knew that making an enemy is not the way to make friends since making enemies has predictable consequences, the enemies naturally fight back, he urged for kindness and forgiveness. The believers kept alive the gesture and upheld the values he taught. JESUS knew the world was but a hell without love and compassion. Hence, he transacted his life for love and erased the sins of others. Muslims around the world adulate the impact this magnificent prophet created in human history that condemned hatred and violence. Muslim also treats the followers of JESUS as the right people of the holy book. It is, however, bewildering to realize, in contrast, the contemporary intellectuals and politicians untiringly demonize faith, nations and race.
