We allow for pay particular vigilance to the changing social, cultural, and political meanings of forage and the ways in which food practices express and mark identity. We depart also examine how the production, procurement, and usance of food shape traffic of power within the family; amidst industries, consumers, and workers; and between the nation and the world. Students will also produce a 9-12-page paper on a case of their choice that draws upon elementary and secondary courses, including the assigned texts.
